“The Changing Burden of Diabetes in Rural and Urban America” is a one-hour webinar scheduled for Monday, April 29 at 12 pm EST. Dr. Timothy Callaghan and Dr. Alva Ferdinand of the Southwest Rural Health Research Center will provide an up-to-date, in-depth look at how the burden of diabetes has changed over time. They’ll look at diabetes-related mortality in and out of the hospital, complications of the disease, and progress toward Healthy People 2020 goals.
The webinar is free, and no registration is required, but participation is limited to the first 200 to log-on that day. However, anyone can access the recording, which will be archived on the Gateway website, https://www.ruralhealthresearch.org/.
